As a member of Van Vogue Jam, you are supporting our initiative to build and sustain the Vancouver Ballroom scene. Our members are folks who are invested in developing a strong community with a common interest in Ballroom culture and VVJ’s initiatives.
Your membership is valid for the year preceding the AGM your purchase was made in.
For example, if you purchase membership on July 28, 2025, your membership is valid until our AGM in 2026 (usually held in March/April).
VVJ is a registered non-profit organization. Members are an integral part of what we do. As a member, you have a say in ensuring our programming, initiatives, financial spending and purpose is meeting the needs of the members collectively.
An AGM is a yearly gathering of a company's interested shareholders. At an AGM, the directors present an annual report containing information for members about the organization's performance and strategy.
As a member of the fiscal year for which we’re reporting on, you will hear about VVJ’s financial reports, you may run for board candidacy, help vote in new board members (if applicable) and learn more about what VVJ does organizationally and upcoming programming!
Each member receives one vote for our AGM.
