OTA - Open to All

VAN VOGUE JAM is a Vancouver based non-profit organization helping to support, build, and nurture the Vogue/Ballroom scene within Vancouver, BC, Canada. By facilitating pay-what-you-can and open-to-all-levels Ballroom education and Vogue classes, VVJ seeks to help contribute towards building a culture of Ballroom with the accessibility and safety of the LGBTQIA2S+ BIPOC community at its core.

 

Bridging Communities Ballroom to Ballroom

In addition to offering weekly classes, VVJ organizes and produces functions such as social events, mini balls, and since 2021 our annual POSH BALL in the summer with Community Partner Vancouver Pride Society. These balls draw on both international talent and local talent to judge, participate and help nurture the scene.

 

International Ballroom names have included Icon Overall Father Dashawn Basquiat, Icon Leiomy Maldonado (NYC), Kiki Legend Passa Father Flora (NYC), Kiki Legend Papi Father Ada (PDX), Carlos Basquiat (USA), Packrat Basquiat (LAX), and the Legendary DJ Blackcat Mulan Monroe.

 

Founded in 2017

He is currently the OA Mother of the Kiki House of Gvasalia and a member of the Undeniable Haus of Basquiat. Past Mainstream houses include House of Amazon and House on Xclusive Lanvin.
